Employee donations matched by
Societe Generale Group in Japan
For further assistance to those in need in the Tohoku area, Societe Generale Japan (including Societe Generale Private Banking Japan) has matched the total sum of donations from its employees by doubling the collected amount for the Japanese Red Cross Society, making a total of JPY15,349,602 as of 30th April (approx EUR 135,000).
Charity Relief Concert supported by
Societe Generale Group
A concert by the Sendai Philharmonic Orchestra was held on April 21st at the Suntory Hall, Tokyo, to support the people of the Tohoku region affected by the earthquake and tsunami. Tokyo- based orchestra members gave a free concert with members of the Sendai Philharmonic Orchestra. The revenue raised from the concert was divided equally between the Japanese Red Cross Society and the Sendai Philharmonic Orchestra.
Book donation drive for Iwate children
Societe Generale Japan (including Societe Generale Private Banking Japan) joined the “Park Library” event organized by Tokyo Midtown on the 23rd and 24th April and during the Golden week to collect books with message for children in Iwate. A total of 77 books was collected.
